The Pinnacle Club of ASEAN, a group of retired chief of defense and security, announced their intention to establish The Pinnacle Club Mentoring Exchange. This program is an informal forum for the exchange of ideas in the military officers and regional security.
The announcement was made at the end of the three-day visit to Brunei club members held by the founder of Pinnacle Club in Brunei, (Ret) Pehin Dato Haji Mohammad Haji Daud.
The Pinnacle Club Mentorship Exchange
Since The Pinnacle Club was inaugurated in early 2014 by the founders and builder (Founding Patrons), the club is not just a place for old friends to meet. The Pinnacle Club serves as an alternative communication channel that can help address the problems that can affect the good relations between ASEAN countries.

The Pinnacle Club membership currently consists of 40 retired former officials of defense and regional security officer. Together with the founder and builder, they keep and share the spirit of togetherness that they feel for joining the military through regular meetings and social activities.
The Pinnacle Club members share their experiences and wisdom. In line with the original purpose of the Pinnacle Club, the Pinnacle Club Mentorship Exchange intends to provide a social forum for members of the military and security officers younger to participate in the events and activities of the Club.
This will allow the exchange of experience, wisdom and fresh ideas among the retired General of the younger officers. Later, the young officers and security officers who can participate will be nominated by the founder and builder of the respective countries.
In response to the initiation of this program, Pehin Mohd said, “The armed forces are increasingly dependent on technology to run their daily affairs. However, communication and friendly interaction between troops from neighboring countries are also important to help keep the peace, stability and friendship, “he added.
“It thus becomes increasingly important for the older generation to pass on wisdom, knowledge and skills to the young officers to ensure that young people can carry the torch of friendship for years to come,” he said.
The Pinnacle Club visit to Brunei
Three-day visit to Brunei by Pinnacle Club member is an event held by the founder and builder from Brunei, Pehin Dato Haji Mohammad Haji Daud. The club members have the opportunity to swap stories while playing golf at the Empire Hotel and Country Club also enjoy the gala, presented by General (ret) Pehin Mohammad.
Finally, the members of the club had the honor to meet His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien at the Palace on November 26, 2014.
Launching The Pinnacle Club of ASEAN Logo
In the same occasion, Pinnacle Club logo was also launched. the logo was designed by General (Ret) William Hotchkiss III, former Commander General of the Philippine Air Force. It shows the spirit of friendship and cooperation by the club members, not only in their professional careers, but also through their participation in the Pinnacle Club.
